For Jim Rettinger, his post-ICU PTSD did not come from the haunting hallucinations and terrors. He was one of the fortunate exceptions that did NOT experience anything during his weeks under a medically-induced coma. His PTSD comes from waking up completely confused in a hospital and being completely unable to move his body.

Jim and Cheryl recount the horror of being too weak to life his extremities and the months of horrific rehabilitation and delirium that followed his ICU stay. He continues to have physical and cognitive impairments that have forever changed their lives.
